Titanic 100th Anniversary 2012

    This year 2012 is the RMS Titanic's 100th anniversary, it sank in the northern Atlantic Ocean the 15 April 1912. For those of you who don't know what Titanic was, or if you just need a reminder, watch this:

    Quick Info about Titanic

    Length: 882 ft and 6 in or 269 m
    Height: 175 ft or 53.3 m
    Engine: Two reciprocating steam engines for the wing propellers and a low-pressure turbine for the center propeller. The total effect was 46,000 HP
    Decks: 9, from A to G
    Speed: Cruising speed at 21 kn and max speed at 24 kn.
    Capacity: Titanic took up to 892 crew members and 2435 passengers.

    It's hard to believe that happened a 100 years ago :eek:. It was (is on the ocean bottom) a very beautiful boat and a engineering marvel.
