This extraordinary structure is a part of Autostadt which is a visitors attraction by the Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg, Germany. It's prime focus is on automobiles, featuring a museum as well as well as pavilions for the brands in the Volkswagen Group and also a customer center, where you as a customer can go to pick up your new car and take a tour around the factory. There are actually two silos 16 stories tall used as a temporary vertical parking lot for Volkswagens production facilities and also Autostadt. Each silo can take up to 400 cars at a time and can deliver around 600 vehicles each day.

Clever idea, even if the lift's must consume an enormous amount of power to be able to lift those cars. :)

Are you sure this is in Wolfsburg? I think I've seen this in a movie, but then in a city in India.

This same design but smaller is used in the movie Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol. That was a temporary set installed in some studio in Canada.
